Alex shoulder

Alex had a seizure at the gym, and when he fell, he dislocated his shoulder. He had to go to the ER and get it back in place. He's been in pain and had a lot of anxiety over why he had another seizure. It really sucks! I am happy it was just dislocated, and he didn't need surgery because that would have caused even more pain and a longer recovery.

Phlebotomy class

Sean and Meadow took the phlebotomy class. I'm proud of Sean, his college class, and his achievement in getting his phlebotomy certification and CNA while only 16.

Park City

Catherine wanted a Park City staycation two days after returning from Grand Junction, so off we went.

We went to an art festival in Park City and ate some delicious food.

I found this 70-year-old four-leaf clover of my Grandmother's. What am I supposed to do with it?

Grand Junction and Amtrak

A few times a year, Carter would take the shuttle to St George and spend time with his dad. After his dad died that vacation ended. Alex invited Carter to come to Grand Junction for a vacation. The only direct flights to Grand Junction are out of Prove, and there's no shuttle, so we decided to send him on the Amtrak. He's never ridden the train, so Don and I took the train down with him, and we returned the same day. Carter came back by himself a couple days later. The train trip was alright, but it was supposed to leave at 3 am and was delayed until 7 due to the heat shutting down tracks.

The bottom line, though, is that Carter liked the train. He liked easy access to bathrooms, a snack bar, and the chance to get up and walk around if he felt like it.

We took everyone to lunch, went over to Alex and Misty's, and then Don and I were back on the train to return home. 14 hours of train in one day was a lot of train, but it was a fun day.

Sean and Meadow on vacation

Don and I ate pizza at the Eastpoint brewery. Beautiful view, good pizza, questionable singer but it was a fun evening.

We went out on the airboat from Battery Park in Apalachicola. For the first time we didn't see any alligators but we did see the noses of a couple of manatee, so that was cool.

We went to turtle talk at the estuary.

St George Island

On our first flight, we were upgraded to first class. The lady I was sitting next to had a dog, so we had three dogs in our two-seat row. The dogs did great, but Holly barfed again, even after Zofran.

Don and Sean kayaked with a hammerhead shark.

Dogs and I found a landshark!
