Pumpkin Carving and 1 1/2 year old birthday

Sean's been wanting to carve pumpkins since the day we picked them. At last we are close enough to Halloween to turn them into Jack O Lantern's and set them on the porch. Sean had a small, medium and large pumpkin.

Phoebe's first pumpkin carving.

Don carved the biggest one.

The final results.

Khloe turned one and a half so we had half a party. Steph said to fix half a cake but I wasn't quite sure how to do that so we only ate half the cake. Khloe thinks people singing to her is hysterical!

Such a cute face. She didn't have a jacket and it was cold. I had this little sweater in the closet. It was AJ's. Khloe looks like a little pixie. I wish I had a picture of AJ wearing it.

Playing with the stuffed toys.

Dinosaur Park

The weather was gorgeous on Saturday, record breaking with a temperature of 79. We went to dinosaur park in Ogden and then spent two hours cleaning the condo. We have a renter for the entire ski season. There is a restaurant up the canyon called the Gray Cliff Lodge that we have been trying to eat at for years. It is only open for dinner and we are usually looking for a place to eat at lunch. It was finally open when we were looking for food so we ate an early dinner. Nice place, kind of different. For an appetizer you get canned fruit cocktail with sherbet or a glass of tomato juice. I've never seen those two choices before.

As we left the restaurant Alex called me and said that Connor Flannery had died. Connor was one of Alex's best friends in Jr High and High School. He lived across the street from us on Chase Lane. They built tree houses together and did all kinds of disgusting things like poop in ice cream cones and leave them in the street. I never quite understood the amusement of that particular practice but they thought it was hysterical. Connor had a little boy and his wife is due with their second child this week. So very sad.

Help I've fallen and a dinosaur is eating my head. Khloe is thinking "don't eat my Grandma dinosaur, she gives me cookies!"

Down AJ is in dinosaur danger.

Khloe loves leaves. She picks them up and hands them out as gifts.

Digging for fossils. Sean spent a long time digging. Khloe just hunted leaves.

Custom Mario Legos

Sean saw some Mario and Luigi Lego's on the Internet. Unfortunately, they are custom made and I was going to pay $17 for a Lego figurine. Fortunately for Sean Steph can paint. Steph spent a Saturday morning making his custom little guys. Alika came over too, she made Toad.
They turned out really cute.

Another Fall Weekend

Don taught Phoebe how to use the week whacker.

She's into trying new things and yard work is new.

I had to work today so Don, Sean and Phoebe came to see me and bring lunch. I used Sean to show Phoebe how to use the Hoyer lift.

After they left me a work they went to the zoo. Phoebe has only been to two zoo's. They had a good time. I have never been a great fan of the zoo. After going on a safari and seeing all the animals running in the wild the zoo is even less appealing.

I'm not sure if they got a new lion water fountain or of they painted the old one.

Lunch date with Khloe

Khloe spent the morning with us while Sean was at school. We walked over to McDonald's for lunch. I got a Happy Meal for Grandma, Khloe got the toy. She ate Dodaddles. She looks like she doesn't want to wear these striking glasses but she was the one who put them on. She'd put them on and then look down. It was so darn cute.

Dodaddle face!

Scary Hill

In October Cherry Hill becomes Scary Hill. The kids at school have been talking about it to Sean and he really wanted to go. AJ and Steph came too. We all played a game of miniature golf.

Khloe was particularly fond of the balls.

We took a tractor ride through the camp ground. They had a ton of skeletons dressed up.

Sean had a great time.

We had to get Khloe her own balls to hold. Even with one in each hand she wanted more. She likes to see how man things she can hold at once.

AJ, Steph and Khloe on the wagon. It was in the high 70's so warm for an October.

Lego Fun

Don and Sean built a Lego city.

Quite the city of high rises.
Khloe likes Lego's almost as much as Sean does. Sean likes to put Lego's together and Khloe likes to take them apart. They are a good team.

End of Soccer Season

Sean loved playing soccer during the fall season. He had such a great time that Don signed him up for a competitive soccer league. After the first league soccer practice Don got in the car and said "I'm not good at soccer anymore." It was hard for him to understand that he is now on a team with a bunch of good players. He's still having a good time playing but it's very different.

Sean got tickets to a Jazz game on is last day of soccer so Sean took Don, Alika and Phoebe to the game.

Pumpkin Patch

Jacob's mom was in the hospital again last week for surgery so he spent the better part of the week with us. We went to Packs Pumpkin patch to do a little picking.

Phoebe's first visit to a pumpkin farm.

Hanging out with some friends at the farm.

I thought Sean was going to give himself a hernia lifting that pumpkin.

Pheobe (Wu Xiowen) spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect pumpkin.

Now we just have to carve all these pumpkins.
