End of the week pictures

Sean's man bun

Vally and Khloe frosting a cake.

Sean's really been interested in his Native American heritage so we went to a Pow Wow at Weber today. It wasn't as good as the one we attended in Heber, too much talking to dancing ratio. There was a little girl walking around that was so stinking cute. They had a tot's dance which was four toddlers standing around looking cute. I thought she was the cutest but she didn't win.

Sean, Don, Milla and Alika dancing their Pow Wow.

Sean had his second lacrosse game today. He didn't do much until the last quarter when he got the ball twice and almost scored once. Catherine and her family are in China so Tyson wasn't there. They lost by one if Tyson was there they would have won.

Natural History Museum Field Trip

Sean's been busy at school this month. Book Battles, two field trips in two weeks, followed by Spring break.

I had a group of five kids to keep track of at the museum. Milla flew in Monday night. She had to leave Mexico to get her Mexican work visa. Her attorney told her she had an appointment at the Mexican Consulate on Thursday. I dropped her off and went to breakfast with Charity. It took her an hour to figure out the consulate was closed. There was no sign, no notice on their website. Eventually she and the other people waiting checked the facebook page. Good grief. They were closed on Friday as well so we will try again Tuesday. She goes back to Mexico on Friday.

Lacrosse

Sean had his first lacrosse game Saturday. He did great. I told him he needs to practice "scooping". He said "I scoop just fine until I have a bunch of people surrounding me hitting me with sticks." Good point son all the stick hitting would be distracting.

Tyson has been playing three years and he is really good. He is tough. Being the 4th boy and having his brother's beating him up since he was toddler has made him one tough ten year old! Their team one 5 to 4 and Tyson scored 3 of those points and he was goalie the first half. If he'd played the field the entire game it would have been a blow out.

Not sure how long Sean will want to play but it's fun to watch him play a new sport. I knew nothing about lacrosse.

Off to district for Book Battles

Today was Book Battles and Sean's team won 4th grade. They didn't lose a single round or miss a single question. I didn't watch any of their rounds. I volunteered at the school all day so I was working with other kids. There's talk of breaking up the dynamic team next year because they win too much. I'm not sure that's fair but historically they haven't kept the same teams for years. Some schools do but Stewart has not.

The 4th grade had the most kids participating.

Ethan, Parker, Andrew and Sean

Their poster one first place too. They had a really good day.

I was really proud of those boys. Sean has worked hard on his books. He read 19 out of 20. I guess he will read the last one before district. It's a comic book. I think that's kind of a dumb choice for a Book Battle book. I texted Jennie that he won and her response was "I think the only time I ever read a book sad to say was in jail LOL." I didn't think that was LOL just sad.

Bath bombs and St Patrick's Day

I found a recipe for bath bombs so Khloe and I made up a batch. It was easy and they turned out. We tried to use easter egg molds which are too hard to get the bomb out of. Then we used cupcake liners which are easy to get the bomb out of but not very pretty. I will have to get some different molds for next time. They fizz and do everything they are supposed to in the tub.

We had green stroganoff and  I made some Brazilian lime aid which was pretty yucky because the lime peel didn't blend well enough. Khloe and Vally liked drinking the condensed milk.

Waiting for his green food.

After dinner computer time.

First place at skating competition

My favorite picture. Vally has such a strong funny little personality but she's a sweet little marshmallow who loves her sister. Giving Khloe some post skating love. Khloe was upset because she missed an arm movement at one point. Not something that I noticed but she was sad about it.

We were waiting at the table for her results. The lady asked her name and Khloe says in her tiny voice, "Khloe Cramer." I  see the lady put a star by her name and 1. No way, Khloe placed first. So awesome. When she told her coach she didn't understand we were all saying "she's number 1." Rachel was reading the 3 which was level 3 on the medal. She said "your family is so sweet.' She thought we were just telling Khloe she was number 1. Funny, Khloe will always be our # 1 but in this case she was the judges #1 as well. Five big girls got their butts handed to them by little 4-year-old Khloe. Talk about a proud moment. I could of cried!

Sean asked "what place does Khloe have to get to pick lunch?" I said she gets to pick lunch no matter what. He was worried she would pick McDonald's again. We went to Black Bear Diner because it was close and had breakfast and lunch so Khloe didn't really get to choose.

Piano walker and sugar egg maker

Vally has the cheesiest little grin, it just makes me smile. I had to wake her up and take her to a meeting at Sean's school. She was so grimy. Her hair wasn't combed and she needed a bath but she just smiled and made friends with another little girl. Her boot wasn't fitting right. I took it off thinking maybe there was a sock in it and I found a little plastic bird. Ouch, bet that didn't feel good.

The inside of Vally's egg has a peep buried under an avalanche of jelly beans.

Khloe's egg is very tidy on the inside. A peep surrounded by jelly beans

Sunday to Tuesday

I saw Dr Henstrom Monday and had more sutures removed. The suture in front of me ear was really tender.

I took these pictures today. I actually look worse today then I did earlier. The sides of my face are purple and green.

I've had more people ask me what happened in the past two days. The black eyes are almost cleared up.

Friday and Saturday

Got some of the stitches removed on Friday.
Looks like someone punched me in the side of the head.

Saturday

The black eyes seem to have peaked.
