Home again

My babies are back!!!!

Sean's friends are back. Not really they never left. Sean has really been into skiing. I got him a season pass at Snowbasin for next year and it included spring skiing this year. He's already gone up four times on next years pass. He wants to go again this week but it's 65 degrees.

Sean's yeast cooking assignment for Science.

Yeah, we got to see Alex, He was in town for a work meeting.

Baby jail! The baby is full on walking!

In addition to all the craziness I got sick. Wed before we left Tallahassee we ate at a Chinese buffet. On Saturday I started getting sick and by Sunday I was pretty sick. Don took me to the ER and I was diagnosed with infectious inflammatory colitis from something I ate. Hmm, wonder what it could be. I just got the ER bill today. I was there two hours and the bill is over $12000. Holy crap.

The ER gave me Flagyl and Cipro to treat the infection. About four days later I started getting weird pains in my back and neck. I was at work at a care facility and my knee totally went out. I could not bear weight at all. I made it home and my knee blew up like a balloon and I couldn't turn my neck. I refused to go to the ER twice in one week so I went to the Dr the next day. I had to slide down the stairs on my butt because I couldn't bear weight. Somehow we made it out to the car and Don got a wheelchair at the clinic. AJ had already called it but I have a rare allergic reaction to the Cipro that caused tendonitis. They gave me crutches and a knee brace which was helpful for getting to the bathroom but later that night my other knee gave out so it was a challenge.

After all that drama I'm starting to get better. I've had a good day, then a bad day.... on and on. I was really bummed because I had got 498 days of walking at least 5 miles a day and I blew my streak!!!

Being so immobile really made me think of my mom and how scared she used to get when she couldn't walk. I totally understand how she felt. It's terrifying.

Flying home

Steph and her group made it back to Utah two days before us. AJ had to work until Thursday so we left on a Friday morning. The airport had new equipment so we had to be at the airport at 4:30 am. I was really nervous about Uber and all the car seats and kids so I called a limo service and all went well. It was good we got there early because the equipment went down and anyone who only showed up an hour early missed their flight.

Connor did as good as can be expected for a 10 month old on a plane and AJ did exceptionally well for someone with flight anxiety. Vally didn't fall asleep until about 10 minutes before we landed.

Meanwhile back in Utah

I hired someone to put up the fence at 512 to keep the dogs in. It's still not done! It is so hard to find workers these days.

I hired a guy to dig out the stumps and he got it done in a morning. Too bad he doesn't do fences.

Alika is pregnant again!!! Yeah, we are all really happy. She had her first ultrasound and this baby looks great. The last pregnancy they never found a heart beat. She's due in October.

March Madness

I'm not quite sure how March has gotten past me and I haven't written. Perhaps because it's been a crazy month. I flew back to Florida at the end of February to help AJ and Steph and the kids in their move back to Utah. Fanny drove back with Steph, Khloe and the dogs and AJ, Connor, Vally and I flew back a couple days later. It was madness!

This boy seriously loves the shower. I will miss my Tallahassee shower.

The pod headed to Utah.
