| We finished our trip to Florida with a visit to the newest eating establishment in the old Pesky Pelican. This is the 3rd one since we've had the beach house. The new pizza and burger place is the best yet! |

| We went to Tallahassee to see the kids and look for furniture. Everything is so backed up that I knew we could have a three month wait for furniture to be in stock. The furniture guy was pretty happy that he sold four rooms of furniture in one sell. |

| Connor has grown so much in six weeks. What a chunky monkey he is with his round Cramer head. He is smiling and so darn cute. |

| It has been so dang hot we haven't wanted to do anything during the day. We took an evening air boat ride and it was perfect. |

| The other day Sean said "I want to touch an alligator." There was a 7 foot alligator by the boat and the airboat Captain asked "does anyone want to touch and alligator?" Sean got to touch an alligator. The girls were like, no thank you! |

| We didn't do much yesterday, just a trip to the lighthouse, the grocery store and then swimming. |

| The kids aren't doing much, they stay up all night and then sleep half the day. It's so hot that there isn't much they can do during the day. Well, I guess they could go to the beach or the pool but it is more pleasant in the evening. They were riding the bikes yesterday and Brie dropped her phone and destroyed it! |

| We tried to go the lighthouse earlier but a storm was rolling through and it was closed because of lightening. |

| There's an app that turns pictures into cute little cartoon characters. Connor is such a chunky monkey now. I only saw the kids for an hour or so while we were in Tallahassee but the baby has grown like a, well like a baby. |

| I told the kids we couldn't leave until they learned something. They now know what an estuary is and Kylie knows what a cardinal is. |

| After a Covid cancellation and a Carol got sick cancellation we finally got Kylie and Brie to Florida. |

| After Sean's piano recital we went to Fat Fish for dinner. It was Mao Yu's last night at home. |

| She's smiling through the tears. Three years she lived with us and now she's gone back to China. Again, like Sean growing up so fast, where did those three years go? Her trip home is long, she had to spend three nights in Washington so she could be tested for COVID antibodies before she got on the plane. Now that she's back in China she has to spend two weeks in a tiny hotel room chosen by the Government. She can't leave her room at all, they leave food at her door. Argh, it's like being in solitary confinement in a prison. At least she has a window, a tv and a computer but it would still be so awful to be stuck in a room alone for 14 days. |
