Back to school

Sean really wanted to go back to in person school this year. He's doing 5 classes at school and 3 online. He had a really good first three days. I told Don it would be a week before he got COVID.
I was wrong.

It only took 3 days. When I picked him up Thursday he was sick with a fever. He still has a fever and body aches but hasn't had any respiratory involvement. Hopefully it stays that way.

Illinois

Dava and Ghan and boys are moving to Thailand, permanently! It's been their plan for years and it's finally happened. Ghan is from Thailand and his family is there. It's much cheaper to live there so off they have gone. We've been wanting to get back to Illinois to see her before she left and we finally did it. Airfare has been ridiculously expensive but it wasn't going to get cheaper and time was running out so last weekend we met up with Dava and her family at Don's dad's house.

The kids had so much fun playing in the lake. It was hot and the water was perfect. Or so they said, I didn't get in.

Don's Aunts and cousins came. Even his Uncle John and Aunt Donna came from Idaho. I always laugh that the only time the Utah and Idaho relatives see each other is in Illinois.

No, they are not praying or peeing they are checking out the fireplace they are turning to gas.

We went to a gay magic show on Pride street in Chicago. That was different.

Weekends

I have a new CASA family with six kids. They are really cute kids and needed school clothes. Jaclyn gave me a ton of stuff that her girls had out grown. I seriously trashed their house with "stuff." It looked like Christmas morning and the kids were so excited.

Catherine and I came to Park city for the night. We are staying at the Waldorf Astoria and for some reason Management thought it was her 12th anniversary and sent us a card, a bottle of wine and a lovely cheese plate. So congratulations to me and my niece Catherine on our 12th anniversary😂 I wonder who didn’t get their wine and cheese. Catherine called the front desk to report the mistake to which they said enjoy your wine and cheese. It was a fun little Utah Staycation. We went and saw Evita and the Egyptian Theater.

My baby! What baby? My little blue eyed man. He looks so much like Alex. If I had not taken this picture and just found it on mu computer I would think it was Alex.

Sleep overs and cookie dough

I love this picture and I love that my door cam caught a video of it. The girls made cookies and Khloe is carrying the cookies and Vally is eating what's left of cookie dough in the bowl. That didn't last long once her mom saw it.

Skate Competition

The girls had their first skate competition since they came back from Florida. It was Vally's first competition ever.

They both did great but apparently a boy in Khloe's division did greater than her. Khloe was not impressed. She just told me she made a wish that she could be the best skater ever. She sure puts her all into it. They are both amazing.

Summer time

The older you get the faster time goes and time is flying. Summer came and now it's almost gone.

We did lots of crafts and had sleep overs.

Nate came for six weeks and left the day before he had to start back to school

Don taught the kids how to use a bow and arrow.
