Sleepover and itchy Khloe

Khloe and Valley had a sleepover on Thursday. AJ, Steph and Steph's family were all going to a Jazz game. Khloe had a few hives when they brought her over. The girls slept really well. Valley slept in the pack and play and Khloe slept on Sean's bed with me. Valley slept until 7. She didn't wake up for a bottle or a diaper change in the night.

I watched Khloe's hives move around until about 11. I put some hydrocortisone on them and then I went to sleep.

In the morning she looked like this. Poor baby. Steph took her to the doctor and they gave her a shot of dexamethosone and some oral prednisolone.

When they got back from the doctor she looked like this.

Today her back and legs look better but her face looks like this. At least she's smiling! Maybe she's smiling because she has chocolate milk on her mouth! Cute face.

First Ski Day

We upped our game even more on Thursday and took the girls to Wolf Mountain. They had never been skiing before. We just got magic carpet passes. Kylie was a natural. Brie was persistent. She fell and got right back up. By the end she could go slowly by herself.

After one of her falls.

Sean taught Kylie how to ski. This is his description, "I dragged her around then my arm got tired. I said Kylie, you should be able to do this yourself now and she did." Maybe, that's the key, maybe Sean could teach me.

Kylie said she was ready to go on the lift. Sean and Don went skiing again on Friday so that Sean could ski. David and Kendra went too. Kendra had never been skiing before. Apparently it came natural for her as well.

Snow Play

Kylie and Brie came for a couple of days. They spent a lot of time in the front yard with the snowboard.

We decided to up our game. Don went and bought an inner tube at Walmart and we went to the hill at the back of the school. They had so much fun.

Don flipped off and landed on his head. I was worried he was going to break his neck.

This is after the snowboard slid out from under them.

White Christmas

The weatherman kept saying the snow was coming on the 23rd and Christmas eve morning and to travel early. The snow didn't come until Christmas eve night. It was perfect, everyone woke up to a very white Christmas. We had 8 inches at our house.

I found a website called "find my fabric." I posted a picture of Sean's baby blanket a couple of months ago. I picture women with rooms full of fabric checking this site to see if anything on their shelves is there. A woman emailed me and she had a little over a yard of Sean's fabric. I was so excited. It had a couple weird cuts in it. I stared at it for awhile and decided I would just use it for the front of a quilt. I put a blue boarder on it. Then I decided to add a piece of Sean's fabric that I used to cover Lovely. It was pretty big at this point so I decided to add a piece of yellow and make a king size quilt for his bed.

I was excited. It's really heavy and turned out great. He needed a new quilt for his bed. He's been using AJ's old penguin comforter which is threadbare now too.
Sean liked it too. He remembers when Lovely was patched with the blue fabric too.

Sean got the Skylanders Imaginators game for his WiiU. He also got the Michael Vey book series that we've been reading.

Carter wanted a new vacuum.

We got Milla a flat screen for her room so she can watch Netflix from bed.
Khloe came over for presents later.

Khloe got a doctor set. She practiced giving us shots and listening to our hearts.

Christmas Eve and Ticas

We had crab and salmon for dinner on Christmas eve. The tica's came and the kids played Sorry.

Sean has been counting down the days until Christmas. He's excited!

Valley can lift her belly up off the floor. It's not long before she's crawling.

Sea Quest interactive aquarium and the new Dartside

There's a new interactive aquarium at Layton Hills Mall. I stuck my finger in a pool of fish and one of them clamped on my finger. It scared me and I yelled which scared poor Khloe. She was scared the rest of the time that something was going to bite her. She did like the little turtles.

Brie and Sean loved the birds. Khloe and Kylie not so much.

Brie and Sean fed the parakeets and thought it was the coolest thing ever. They wanted to go back and do it again the minute they finished.

I had a student a couple of months ago who wanted to be a professional mermaid. She brought her mermaid tail to class and we put her in the hoyer lift and had all sorts of fun. I told her about the new aquarium and she was hired. I guess she will never be a C.N.A. now that she's a full time mermaid.

Dartside has moved to the mall. They are about five times as big as they used to be.
