What's new in our world

A.J. finished the pharmacy tech program and passed two different national board exams. He is now certified to work at any type of pharmacy anywhere in the country. Yeah A.J. He's going to start summer classes at Weber. First he is going to St George to visit his dad. That baby is Ryder, Sean's little brother. He is a little brown version of Sean. Pretty darn cute little baby.
That's Sean watching David playing hockey. He yells "Day Day, GO, GO, GO". David is playing in the high school summer league. Most of his games are up by the U at one of the skating rinks. It's pretty cool. The only downside is his team is the only JV team in the league which means they always play varsity. They have gotten their behinds KICKED. This week they played and were up by two. It ended up tied three to three. David says they were robbed! Only one more week of school and David's grades are fabulous!!!!

Heather, the mom who adopted Sean's new baby brother graciously brought Ryder over so we could all be in awe of how dang cute he is. He is a chubby baby. He slept the entire time but it was probably just as well. He wasn't awake to realize he was being girl handled. Sean wasn't interested in holding him but he did look at him. He wasn't overly thrilled about me holding Ryder. That's Brie, Holland (Heather's daughter) Kylie holding Ryder and Sean looking like he isn't at all sure about all these girls. He did have fun playing with them.

I think this picture is just so cute. It could be a pro adoption poster. Heather holding her kids and her son's birth sisters. Strangely open adoption. But hey, it works and everyone is happy. Holland is a little confused because Ryder is her baby brother and she doesn't like Kylie and Brie calling him their baby brother. Wow, that's a lot to explain to little kids.
I just can't believe how brown that baby Ryder is. I think Heather wished him brown. All Jenny's other kids are white as white can be and Ryder is as dark as Jenny. Heather said she wanted a brown baby. Now how's that for a birth mom, Jenny makes babies to order. Heather asked for curly hair and she didn't get it. I guess she was only allowed one made to order feature.

I'm sure everyone wants to know how the cats are. They got groomed last week because I was tired of cat hair all over the house. Bonkers is no longer throwing up hair balls. YIPPEE. We've had to up his thyroid medicine to 20 mg per day. WHAT you ask. Why is Carol giving that damn cat thyroid medicine? Gee, I ask myself that everyday. That stupid vet guilted me into treating his thyroid and now the cat is feeling so much better that I feel like a real heal if I have him put to sleep because I don't want to spend $75 a month on a cat. I just want to go on record that I think anyone who spends that much money on a cat is stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess the vet was the smart one which makes me the what????????????????

It seems brighter here!

I brought Jenny, Kylie and Brie over yesterday to play in the hot tub and have lunch. When we got out of the car Jenny looked up at the sky and the house and said, "it seems brighter here than where I live." I thought that was profound on so many levels.

We were having fun playing. The girls were in the hot tub (that was turned down low) and then they would jump on the trampoline. It was all good until Kylie went running from the hot tub into the kitchen, wiped out and smacked her head really hard. She cried and I held her then she played again. About an hour later she got really grumpy and kept crying and whining. She said her head hurt so I gave her some Advil. I picked her up and was walking with her then I laid her on my bed and she slept for half an hour. Then she woke up screaming so Jenny brought her downstairs. She laid down on my chest on the couch and slept for about 15 minutes then she started throwing up.... Kylie said she wanted to go home so I drove them home and she slept in the car. I told Jenny to keep an eye on her. She called me about 20 minutes later and told me she threw up again so I told her to take her to Primary Children's. Poor Kylie has a concussion. Jenny said they strapped her down for the CT scan and she screamed bloody murder.

She's better today, thank goodness.

It's good to have attorneys in the family

I am not a criminal! I went to court today for my ticket on Legacy. Remember, the cop who pulled me over after calling back up because he thought I was drunk. "What prescription drugs are you taking mam?" "Lipitor officer, what are you taking?" Yeah, that ticket. The bogus one he gave me when he figured out I wasn't drunk, high or apologetic. Catherine had it plead down to a non-moving violation to which I stood in front of a judge and said "guilty your honor?" I am guilty of making a Woods Cross cop mad! The judge then asked me if I could take care of the $40 fine today. I thought about asking for a payment plan but decided I'd better not push my luck so I paid the fee. Afterwards I bought Catherine a bagel. Gee, I hope her other clients pay her better than I do!
Thank you Catherine! Bite me Woods Cross policeman!

The Ryder Tree

Behind Sean is the tree that the Jensen's gave us to celebrate Ryder's birth and adoption. I tried to get Sean to stand in front of it so I could take his picture but he wouldn't have it. Every spring when it blooms we will take a moment to be grateful for Ryder's adopion.

Sean was really busy today. He helped fix the fence, the sprinklers and he planted asapargus.
We got the yard fenced in at the front this month so the fence goes all the way around and Sean can play without getting in the street. Low and behold when I was walking around the back yard there was a spot in the back fence where Sean could get out and be right at the frontage road. Don fixed it and Sean helped.

Is this kid a natural on the skateboard or what?? He got his own skateboard this week because David was getting mad that Sean would go in his room and take his.

Happy Mother's Day

Nate came over and gave Emma a BIG kiss. Emma wasn't at all sure about that kiss. It looked more like a lick.
Sean fell asleep in the car with his shoelace in his mouth. I thought it was kinda cute.

Gee, do we look alike or what. Mother's Day lunch at Chili's.

Sean got a new haircut and he looks so handsome.

Happy Birthday Nate, Happy Baby shower Lisa-Jean

Autumn and her mom, Robbin were here from N.C. to visit Steph. Autumn got some really cute presents for little Lisa-Jean. She's going to be a well dressed little girl. She's still in need of a middle name.... I think Lisa-Jean Kidney Bean but Autumn says no.
Sean hung out with Alika. He has some spiffy new Nikes. Sean does love his shoes.
Tyson and Sean tried to rehang the lights on the trees. They are such helpful little boys.
Emma kept asking "why is that baby naked?" Once you've seen Nate eat cake you know why his parents get him naked before they feed him cake.
Alex didn't care about the naked baby he just wanted to eat his cake.
Tyson is looking pretty big these days. I think he was still wondering how he could make those lights on the tree look better.

The blue eyed baby is one. He just sat with that cake in front of him and looked at all of singing like we were just crazy people. OK, maybe we are crazy people but we love him.

Jaclyn and a really old boy scout.
The typical around the table picture.

The little kids on the patio picture. Gma has been doing a lot of gardening on the patio. It's looking pretty green out there.

Jackson is thinking he can push this barrel full of babies! I don't think he can do it without tipping them.

Too cute

Sean now wants to skip his bath and just run around the house with a towel over his head. He is cheeky.
