Easter Sunday

Steph's mom and grandma went home on Easter. We decided to get one last thing in before they left and drove up to Snow Bird to ride the tram.

Unfortunately none of us bothered to look to see what the Costa Rican's had on their feet! Ana was wearing Capri's and sandals, Steph had no socks. It was funny being on the tram with all the skiers dressed in sandals. It made me laugh. We stopped and Ana bought some socks to put on under her sandals. She was so cute playing in the snow. She had never been in the snow before. She was like a kid!

I don't know what Ana was saying on the tram because it was in Spanish but I think it was something like "oh my gosh, I think you guys are trying to kill me!"

It actually snowed too which added to the fun. Obviously we didn't stay out very long because it was cold. Steph put gloves on her feet in the car. It was a nice day out but very over cast.

Newlyweds. I asked Steph if she knew what happened to daughter in laws after the family went home and they were left with the in laws and she said "they get spoiled?"

We had our egg hunt on Saturday. It seems like every family in the family has church at a different time.

Blue eyed Marin is getting so big. She would pick up eggs and shake them if they rattled because they had money in them she threw them down. This little girl only wants candy. Jaclyn couldn't keep Laila's blood sugar levels anywhere normal. Doggone all these holidays celebrated with sugar.

David is 17

Yes, David IS as excited as he looks. He closed at Arctic Circle on his birthday. His cake sat on the counter all day, night and day so we made him sit down after work so we could sing happy birthday.

On Friday we all went to dinner for David's belated birthday celebration. That's David's girlfriend Candra.

I've been scanning pictures and downloading VHS video until I have a headache but some of the pictures and videos are priceless. We don't have a ton of baby pictures of David. Pam must have them. This is the youngest baby picture I can find of David and the fact that he's naked just makes it cuter! I'm sure he'd agree and thank me for posting.

Post Wedding Week

I've worked everyday since the wedding except Saturday so it's been kind of crazy. Steph's mom and Grandma are here until Sunday. Sean and Ethan eating left over reception food.

Sean had a geography fair at school. It made me laugh. When Sean was a baby Don and I were having an intense discussion about our relationship with Sean and what our role in his life was going to be. I told Don I just wanted to make sure he was fed, clothed, clean, and loved and Don asked "are you thinking about school and soccer and braces? I said "no" and he said "well you better start." At the time it seemed so distant and impossible and here we are three years later going to school events and soccer. No braces but I did get a card in the mail from the dentist that it's time for Sean's cleaning. Just a reminder of how time flies.

Jenny note: Jenny called and said she was going to have the girls on Easter and the case worker said they could come to my house. I said that was fine but called the case worker to make sure it was OK. She was mad and said no she did not say it was OK. She said if Jenny had asked she would have let her but since she lied she wouldn't. The case worker called Jenny and told her she better not be lying. Jenny then called me. I asked "Jenny why do you do that?" and she said "I didn't. I was GOING to ask her if it was OK." Good grief.

Wedding pictures

It's hard to narrow down the pictures to post and I haven't even got the real pictures those are six weeks out.
The wedding was wonderful. Steph and Aric looked great, the minister did a fabulous job and the weather was perfect.

Skyler came over to do his best man duties and keep Aric occupied playing computer games.

Don got the computers set up so the wedding could be skyped to Costa Rica. Steph's cousins and Aunts had a party at her Grandma's house, ate Stephs' favorite foods and watched the wedding. It was awesome because periodically through the reception Steph and her mom and grandma would talk to them. It was almost as good as having them here.

No wedding is complete without silliness by the flower girls and Sonia and Laila didn't let us down. If they hadn't been so funny I think Steph would have cried all the way down the aisle but she was laughing before she started after watching the girls.

A bridal shower

My nieces Jaclyn and Catherine and their mom Linda had a shower for Steph Thurs night at Linda's house. It was lots of fun despite Steph being so nervous about the wedding she could barely function the hour before the shower. I think it relaxed her and took her mind off things for an hour.

Steph's Grandma Anna doesn't speak English. Fortunately Catherine and Jaclyn speak Spanish.

Linda my favorite ex in law and Andrea my niece. How cool is it that an ex sister in law hosts a shower for my daughter in law.
