Park City

Sunday was a pretty day so we went to Park City to the Canyons. We rode the tram up and then took a ski lift up higher. The ski lift dropped you off and you had to walk down. It took us about 30 minutes to walk down. It was a nice hike. There was a little fish pond that we stopped at.

On the ski lift.

Sean if pointing at a tiny little snowman on a log. There were a few little patches of snow.

Sleepover and Farmington Station

Khloe is liking sleep overs. "No mama, no papa. I want Grandma!"

The next day we went to Farmington Station and had lunch. The waitress made BBQ sauce witches and pumpkins.

It was a pleasant day for the kids to play outside. Khloe was fascinated by the statue.

After we left Farmington, Don, Sean and I went to Lagoon.for an hour. Sean and I both got sick to our stomachs. Maybe it was from the restaurant at Farmington Station. I got really sick on the sky tram. Major anxiety attack. I couldn't get off, I was sweating and it briefly stopped. I thought what if I faint and fall off this thing. I don't know if I will be able to ride that thing again.

Cookies and Grandma date

Steph had to work late at school so I picked Khloe up for a little quality Grandma time. She fell asleep before we got out of the parking lot of the school.

She was promptly energized and ready to make cookies.

Cookie dough taste tester.

Quality control oven watcher.

Eating her lunch from school while she waits for the cookies. I soooo hungry Grandma!

Val came over later in the evening for a little quality time.

This picture cracks me up. Val's surprised face!
Sean really likes a series of books called "Ranger" it's about a time travelling dog. I have to tell him to put the book down and go to sleep.

Scanned work from 2nd grade

I've had a stack of some of Sean's work from 2nd grade sitting on my desk for a couple of months. I've scanned some of my favorites.

Salt Flats and Salt Air

Don didn't have any of his many cars ready to race this year but we went out to the World of Speed at the Salt Flats anyway. Don was really wishing he had raced because there were no lines. It had been cancelled the past two years because of too much water so people from out of state were scared to commit. It was very dry this year. I actually missed the water. The flats are so pretty with the water. The water and all the bright white make for awesome reflections.

Ming Ting was quite clever with her selfie photography.

Bright wheels.

The chicken is always there. He has Colonial Sanders in his beak.

On the way home we stopped at the Great Salt Lake because all foreigners must visit the lake. I got a pretty decent sunburn. I'm glad I was wearing a hat.
