Fun day on the pier and Golden Gate bridge

Thursday was a really nice day. We met up at the Golden Gate bridge park and walked across the bridge. The weather was perfect.

The hair on that kid.

OK, so pictures from below are not very attractive. I was looking at some pictures that popped up on Facebook from six years ago when we were in Costa Rica and I thought dang we look young. So in six years I'll look back at this picture and say dang we looked young.
Alice version of selfies.

The food on the pier was sooo good. Clam chowder bowls!!

There were lots of street performers on the pier. We listened to a guy who played three different instruments and sang at the same time.

Sean's into Sea Lions and seals lately so he really like the end of the pier where the sea lions hang out.

A day of delays and then a great day

We flew to San Francisco to meet Daisy. The getting there was a challenge. The plane was delayed an hour, we got on the plane sat for 90 minutes then they had us deplane. There was a problem with the fuel gauge. Eventually they flew in a new part but that still didn't work so then they flew in a plane from Cabo Mexico. After 12 hours sitting in the airport we finally flew to California. 13 hours for a 90 minute flight. Daisy and Alice picked us up and took us to the hotel. We had a comfortable night.

The next morning we went to a restaurant down the block and had breakfast before we headed to the pier to go to Alcatraz.

It was a foggy morning.

By afternoon it was clear.

We were going to ride the trolley but the line was long so we ended up taking a couple of pictures pretending we rode the trolley. We saw the trolley going up and down the hill a lot!

In the afternoon we met up with Daisy, Alice, Anna and Bernardo and went downtown and had dinner at a Japanese restaurant.

Merry Christmas

We had a snow storm Christmas eve. That makes three white Christmas in a row.

Quiet Christmas morning, just Sean, Carter, me and Don.

Sean was happy he got a Nintendo Switch and a art tablet that he can connect to his television or laptop.

Alex didn't come home for Christmas. He and Misty went to Hawaii earlier in the month and then went to Richfield with Misty's family for Christmas.

Khloe, Valley and family came over at lunch time. Alika came too. Khloe got a new cell phone, purse and makeup for Christmas. When the heck did she get that grown up. Her cell phone is a tablet but she can facetime.

Sean and Alika pulling a popper.

Valley had a runny nose and did not feel 100% on Christmas.

Valley loves to play on the piano and keyboard so I got her a keyboard that rolls up.

Gingerbread House party

Let the festivities begin.

John and Julie said Caleb had been counting down the days until the gingerbread house party. He took his decorating very seriously.

Fanny is here for Christmas.

Khloe was so excited about her cousin Sarah and saved her a seat next to her. Khloe is very social.

The kids were in to side by side designs this year. Larissa and Tyson (and a friend of Tyson's who name I do not know but he has great hair)

Sarah was much more interested in eating the candy than decorating with it.

Hailey did a really great design, she made little strings of lights with colored frosting.

Alika and Garret came.

Khloe with her new friend.

Caleb, so excited. Jameson spent a lot of time on his design. He was the founder of the side by side.

Valley tasting the ruins.

Playing games.

Using the new computers.

Catherine had a 9 hour trial today. I was an expert witness for her client at the hearing and I left a little after 11. I couldn't believe it went on until 6. The judge ruled in favor of her client so that was a plus. It really would have stunk to spent her entire day and lost. It also would have been a drag for the infant in question if she had been sent to live with a parent and not her grandparents.

I don't even know what to say about this. They were building some sort of high rise. What a mess that table is.
