They are always thrilled to see each other

These three really like each other. Sean and I went to pick them up after Sean got out of school on Friday. When we were pulling off the frontage road to Parrish Lane there was a man with a sign asking for money. Sean asked what the sign was for and I told him. Sean asked if he could give him a dollar. "I have lots of dollars" he said. We had already pulled out of the stop sign so it was too late. A few seconds later Sean asked "how many times has Jenny been in jail?" I said "I'm not sure maybe a dozen. I asked, "what made you think of Jenny, was it the man with the sign?" He said "I don't know." Then he said "it's cause we are going to go get my sisters and we all came out of her so when we are together I think of her." I told him that made sense. On a worrisome note: Jenny had the baby and he looks so much like Sean it makes my heart hurt. His name is Jack. I hope that Jenny gets it together and is a decent mom to this baby.
At Robintino's. They are so hyper when they first get together. That's why I like to get them early in the afternoon so they have some time to calm down before bedtime.

They were asleep by 11 which isn't too bad for their first night together. At 4 am I heard them and I went in the room and Sean was sitting up playing Wii, Kylie was sitting up. I said guys it's 4 am go to sleep. Brie said "yes please!" I laid down with them and Sean asked if I would tell them another night story. I said no, it's 4 am! They went back to sleep, got up again at 530. I told them they had to go back to bed then they got up at 630 and stayed up. Silly kids.

Sick little Khlo Bo

Khloe got sick on Monday. AJ took her to the doctor on Thursday but she was worse on Friday. Yesterday we went back to the clinic because she was feeling worse. Her respiration's were up and her oxygen saturation were down. Here she is looking pitiful. If the doctor made her mad while AJ was holding her she would come to me but then if she got mad while I was holding her she'd go back to her dad. Pretty much everyone was bothering her!
They gave her a breathing treatment to see if it opened her airways up. This made her positively livid. We weren't even touching her face with the mask but she was not wanting any part of it. It's hard enough to be sick without people bothering you.
That is one sad little sick face. All of the sudden her hair is growing.
We took a little nap at home while her dad went to get her antibiotics. Sean woke her up when he came home from school. She woke up pretty happy and ate freezer pop and the middle of an Oreo.
I was hoping she would feel better today but she did not. This is the picture AJ sent from Primaries. They gave her some IV fluid. Primaries is full of sick kids with respiratory problems. They discharged her and now they are watching her at home.

Visa

You've got to be kidding me! Sean's visa application was denied because his 7 year old signature on his visa application doesn't match his 4 year old signature on his passport. Really, he's supposed to keep that same signature forever. He only signed SEAN on his passport but put his last name on his visa. (he also used appropriate capitalization) I guess he's like Prince and Madonna. First name only. I don't remember what customs we were at I'm guessing it was Costa Rica but it could have been China., The agent made Sean sign his name. I said "he's 4. I will sign it" and they said "no he has to sign." So silly.

The visa company said we could wait for two weeks to see if his visa was denied but then we might not have time to get a new application in. Today Don went to the post office and over night mailed a new signed form and different visa pictures. The background was too dark in the ones that Target took. Funny, those pictures and Sean's signature worked for Africa. Well come to think of it I don't think we even did a signature for our African visa. Brazil asked for a copy of Sean's birth certificate and a notarized form signed by both me and Don saying he could get a Brazilian visa.
Check out those mad 4 year old writing skills.

Chinese New Year Program

Nothing cuter than a white kid dressing up like a Chinese kid. This outfit said size 12 but it's more like an 8. I wonder if it will still fit next year. If it doesn't I know when I order a new one to get a size 14.
The kids were so hyper. They were bouncing off the walls. This year they had the program at Weber State University in conjunction with their Chinese New Year celebration. Kids from Woods Cross High school performed as well. I had to laugh the high school kids sang the same song that the kindergarten kids sang last year and the little kids were much better. I imagine the High School kids are first year Chinese so they are speaking as much as the little kids and little ones learn faster and easier. We left after Sean's performance. It was going to be a long night. Phoebe didn't get home until 10. The 5th graders were singing "Let it go" from Frozen. Phoebe said they were really good.

Sponge Bob, dusting and indoor soccer

Sean has been counting down the release of "Sponge out of water" for six months. Oh, the anticipation I could barely contain myself. Sean had no school on Monday and I didn't have to work so we went to the matinee. After it was over Sean asked "how come it was so short? It wasn't even as long as a movie." Time just zips by when watching Sponge Bob. It met all his expectations and he can't wait until it comes out on Amazon so he can watch it over and over.
Sean now has two Sponge Bob's. One he got for staying dry for 7 days and a second one that AJ and Steph gave him for Valentines. Today he got a stuffed Patrick because he was dry for another 7 days. Not consecutively. I was worried there was something medically wrong. I know he's not capable of staying dry at night but when he has something he really wants he is motivated to stay dry during the day.

I put Khloe to work dusting. She likes to be helpful.
It's a good thing Sean has indoor soccer because skiing was a bust. Last Friday was the last day of ski lessons and the last day the ski resort was opened. This has been a dismal snow year. I don't know if it's climate change or just a bad snow season.

Grades and asthma

We went to Sean's parent teacher conference. They are doing the conferences different now.We went  through three different stations where Sean showed us his work. He read a book to us in Chinese and then we met with his teachers. They've always said how quiet Sean is and how they wish he would talk more. This time Mrs. Mullins told us she moved Sean to a different table because he was talking too much. Ha, now they see the kid I know. He's pretty wild at school. The shy, quiet facade has been shed. His grades are good. He is speaking at a novice level in Chinese.
Since Sean's last hospital admission I've been tracking his asthma weekly. He does well unless he gets a cold.

Amaryllis and crafts

My amaryllis bloomed. Actually it's my mom's amaryllis. Someone gave the bulb to her for Christmas.

Khloe and I made a couple of Valentine crafts for her parent's. I used store bought clay instead of making my own and they worked out nicely. The big one did crack a little and I had to fill it in. I think I will use the same kind of clay for Christmas ornaments next year.
This one is cute. It's curved. It's suppose to be a ring holder or some sort of little storage bowl.

A pitcher full of letter magnets from the refrigerator.

Fun with chalk and other stuff

Sean and Jacob were outside having a little picnic. It was kind of chilly but they didn't care.
Khloe wanted to play outside with chalk. Her little nose was turning red so I took her inside to play with chalk. This is such an AJ face. If I had pulled this picture out of a drawer I would have believed it was AJ.

Alika had made a chalk board table that she gave to Sean years ago. Khloe prefers it on it's side. I think it feels more like she's drawing on walls. Drawing on walls is one of her favorite things to do. That's probably not a fair statement she likes to draw on anything.

My favorite picture of the day. Sean said "why didn't you draw her hands? Why didn't you color her pants?" Jeez, every one's a critic. I measured Sean and Khloe on the wall. Khloe is as tall at 22 months as Sean was at 14. She's a petite little thing.
Watching the boys play their DS games. She was playing with magnets.

Artist at work.
Trying to help Grandpa out by rearranging his tools. She's helpful like that.

A very busy bee

What was I thinking? Khloe was sitting on the bathroom floor writing on paper with a marker. Why the bathroom floor you ask? Because I can wipe any marker off the floor with a towel. I walked out of the bathroom and when I walked back in she had switched from the paper I had given her to the library book I had sitting next to the bathtub. When I said "NO KHLOE!" she put her head down and wouldn't look at me. "What is this word NO of which you speak?"
Eating banana's and crackers.

She eats her sandwich from the inside. I gave her a spoonful of peanut butter because she was licking the peanut butter out of the sandwich. She got a huge mouthful and then spit it in my hand. I guess it's tastier when it's licked off the bread.

Taking a nap or recharging.

Waking up a little grumpy.

There was time (about a month ago) when I could give her an empty ice cream cone and she would eat the empty cone and be happy. I handed her an empty cone and she just looked at me. I didn't do anything so she started jabbering and walked over the refrigerator and stood in front of the freezer. It didn't take a lot to figure that one out. I scooped some ice cream in her cone and she was happy.

Styling hair. I tried a french braid. That was pretty funny.

Loving some Barney. Barney can be your friend too, if you just make believe him.

"Agua, agua!" She loves her some aqua. She put a bar of soap in her agua and didn't think that was too tasty.

Lunch Bunch

We are trying to have a monthly lunch "date." We missed January but made February so we aren't doing too  bad. Charity looks like Cindy Lauper. It was Georgia's 65th birthday. Mardi joined us this month much to Sue's dismay. Not sure what's up with Sue. She's picky about who she likes.
