Sean's PE

Sean had a PE assignment and the next day for English he had to write a true story so he wrote about his PE assignment.

The Day My P.E Teacher (and my mom ) tried to kill me.

                                                            Sean Lindsay

I’ve been doing online school for almost a year now, so I don’t get out much. I have asthma and in the winter when it’s cold it’s kind of hard to breathe. I’m also missing an important part of my immune system called IgA. When I was little I spent a lot of time at the hospital and on oxygen. During Quarantine I've been staying home watching videos, playing games and doing online school. I really don’t go anywhere or see anyone.

This semester I took 7th grade P.E. My first assignment was to run a mile. So my mom woke me up at noon and dragged my butt out the bed and told me I had to go running. I didn’t get anything to eat or drink. So we started walking and then my mom told me to run to the end of the block. So then I ran to the end I was fine at first but then my throat started to hurt.  My mom walked me and by the time she got to me I was having a full blown asthma attack. Me and my mom sat on the curb and she gave me my inhaler that she has in her pocket. After a bit my mom said we have to start walking home.

We walked through a neighborhood to take a shortcut and then the breathing got worse. My back was hurting, I couldn’t breathe, and it felt like my lungs were going to pop. Everytime I breathed it felt like my backbone was going to break. Then I felt like I was about to throw up. I was gagging and spitting. My mom told me to sit down but I laid down in the grass next to the road and thought about dying. Some cars drove by and looked over and then one of the people that lived in the neighborhood came out of his house and walked over to me and said are you okay do you need an ambulance? My mom said no. Eventually I got up and we started walking home very, very slowly.

Merry Christmas

I woke up this morning and told Don "Merry Christmas!" He asked "what brings that on?" I said it's inauguration day which is way better than Christmas. Now I can quit obsessively checking the news to see what awful thing #45 did. We have sanity in the White House!

Demise of the trailer park

The trailer park is in it's final days. They moved out three trailers today. There are only five or six families left. Kathy and I have been walking through daily and have talked to a lot of people. What a mess over there. Today the police were there evicting a squatter. It has to be hard for the police because everyone left is in a bad situation. We met a woman who told us she was a meth addict/dealer but had been clean for two day. Interesting, I've never had anyone flat out tell me they were a dealer. She was also the person that got beat up and raped by the man who hid in the dumpster at McDonalds. I remember the story being on the news. She also told us her father raped her and now has custody of her children and is still raping her. Wow, what a lot of information from someone you just met. The weird part of meeting her (well it was all weird) but a couple days before someone had told me that they shared half their stick of deodorant with a neighbor who didn't have any. She pointed at the house where the person lived and it was boarded up and in such bad shape that I couldn't believe anyone lived there. Later that day I took a bag of groceries, and hygiene supplies and left them on the porch. I also put some money in the bag. It ended up being the house of the meth girl. If I'd known I probably would have left a Walmart gift card that she couldn't use for meth. She is one sad little mess.

The water is pouring out of empty trailers. We called the water company and they came out and said they couldn't do anything about it. We are having a terrible drought and water is pouring out 24 hours a day and no one will fix it. I imagine on the 4th they will turn off all the water to the park and put fences up all around the property.

I've known for years that the trailer would get sold off eventually. It's been sad to watch all the people who have lived there 30 and 40 years lose their home.

Upgrading the tub

The jets on my tub haven't worked for years and they are impossible to keep clean. Periodically little floaty balls of nasty black stuff get in the tub. I don't want to repair the jets because they are too hard to get to and the tub is so noisy. I used the company that resurfaced the counter at one of the condos to resurface the tub.

They filled in all the jets and resurfaced the whole thing.

I gave all but two of my plants to a neighbor because I was tired of cleaning up after them. I was thinking about getting rid of the fish because I don't know who would feed them while we are gone once Mao Yu goes back to China. I found an automatic feeder that will feed them for six weeks. Now I can ignore the fish without feeling bad.

Another term past

Sean had a second successful online term. Only 4 out of 6 grades are posted so far but they are all A's again. The only class I'm not sure about is Chinese. Mao Yu really helped him a lot the past few weeks. He had to memorize a lot of long dialogue.

They had a post semester burning dialogue party.

Sean at school.

Steve's eye cancer has grown to  large and they are going to remove his eye February 2nd. His stress level is so high. He hopefully will have insurance on February 2nd. If he had insurance before he might have gotten treatment last month. I'm not sure it would have saved his vision. He'd have an eye that he had to keep patched because the double vision would be so bad. Right now he can only see a tiny bit out of the side of his left eye.

I've been walking with my neighbor Kathy. We decided to pick up garbage on the frontage road. We had four bags of garbage. It's been a week and I noticed that the road is full of garbage again tody.

How's 2021 working out? We had a really nice steak, crab and baked potato dinner and then some good things happening then it was time for the electoral college vote and went to hell

W

We had a very nice New Years dinner of steak and crab. It was just us, Carter and Mao Yu. Mao Yu bouhjt her tickets to go home in June. This makes me sad. A fast three years
I was feel really good about the New Year. I paid off our beach house. I got it down to $12000 so I just had to pay it off. Now all the anticipation of paying it off is over.

Had an interesting grump call with Wesley. He's had some behavior problems at home. He's doing great at school. He's meeting his potential new adoptive mom and it seems to go well

This was a shocker I got my first COVID vaccine. They started providing vaccines to heath care workers who are not working in facillities I was surprised because I didn't think I would get mine until general population..

So the post  New Year was going pretty good until January 6th when Trump fired up his basket of deplorables and had then storm the capital and try to take over the election. People threatening to kill Pence and Pelosi. Donald Trump is a truly evil man and I worry about the transition.  Trump has no morals and enjoys watching lowlifes fight for him. I have total understanding of democracy falls and dictators take over.  They get sheep to follow and do whatever they say no matter how awful it is.
6 people died at the rally and others were injured to say nothing of the Covid these idiots have spread.
