Carter's car

This is the second time a teenager has run into Carter. He got hit in Bountiful on the way to the gym by some teenagers who were rocking out to music and ran a red light. The guy behind Carter had a dashcam and stopped and gave us a copy of the video. Technology is pretty cool.

Carter kept saying "it's not my fault, it won't be a problem." I tried to explain to him that while it wasn't his fault it's still his problem and he's basically screwed because his car is total and he has to deal with insurance.

We went out yesterday looking for a new Honda Civic and there is a 10 month wait to buy any reasonably priced new car. We found a used Honda Accord for him but it is a 2017 and it cost more than a new car but he can't wait for a new car. The insurance did pay him more than his car cost new because it's so hard to buy a car right now. Good grief.

I woke up the day after really grateful that it was only a car that we had to worry about and Carter wasn't injured.

His first brand new car is no more.
