chuck e cheese and David

Yesterday was fun. We had good news in regards to David. Last Thursday we got a call from the Jr High. David had a pocket knife in his back pack that he had given to another student who then planned to use the knife in a fight. When I got to the school I spoke with the principal and the police officer. There were 8 kids involved in a fight that never really got to the fighting stage. They were all suspended. David had to go to the school district for a "risk assessment" to see if he would be allowed back in school. Because of the zero tolerance for violence they said they could expel him for ever. Aghh, good grief. Expelled for being stupid. Aren't all teenagers stupid at some point? Anyway the psychologist said he was no risk and could go back to school. Don went to the school but they aren't going to let David back until all the involved parties have had their risk assessment. It will be next week before he can go back to school. The police are actually pressing charges against David for having a weapon at school. We will have to go to juvenile court. What a pain. The positive side is David is grounded and I've had him do lots of work around the house. Let me clarify that the knife involved is a small pocket knife that he used to scrape tape off his skate board. Granted, he should not have had a knife at school at all but we are not talking weapons of mass destruction.

Chuck e cheese: Jenny asked me to adopt her new baby, tempting but I said we couldn't, but we'd love to adopt Sean. Jenny said Ryan doesn't want to give us Sean. Which is kind of interesting when we have him most of the time. Don and I love Sean like he's already ours. Jenny asked me to help her find a family for the new baby so I had Catherine get some family files and Jenny and Ryan picked a family. Don and I met the family last week and really liked them. Jenny and the kids all came with me to Chuck e cheese. Catherine and Jameson were there and the adoptive mom and her adopted daughter, Holland. Jenny really liked them. I was worried about Ryan because Jenny had an ultrasound earlier in the day and we found out the baby was a boy. I was hoping it was a girl because I thought it might be easier for Ryan to give up a girl. Ultimately Ryan told Jenny it didn't matter, they couldn't take care of either. I'm hoping it all works out.

Thanks for your help with the girls the other night. I always get a little panicky when the girls aren't feeling well and never feel better until I've talked to you. I don't know what we would all do without our favorite aunt Carol. Love you. P.S They stopped puking about 10 min after I hung up with you.
