Time for me to head back to Utah

Deep conversations with Vally.
My final night in Tallahassee Vally was crying because she thought she was getting a shot at her dr appointment the next day. (She didn't) We were laying in bed talking and I told her that her crying was making me sad and then I started to cry, then she started to laugh. Then she started telling me how much she loved me and Khloe chimed in with how much she loved me and they started thanking me for coming and taking care of them while Connor was born. That really made me cry. Such sweet girls.

My last day and the framing started.

The girls in their playhouse. A blue bird family was building a nest in the ledge and the girls were so excited. None of the adults were excited about birds pooping inside their playhouse and AJ took down the bird nest. I had him buy a bird house at Walmart and I hung it up on the fence. The girls were so excited because the birds started building a nest in it.

Vally keeps looking at Connor and asking "Who is his name?" That girl is so dang cute!

She is such a wonderful big sister. She loves to read to Connor. Connor is not too sure about the Pokey Little Puppy not getting any chocolate custard.

Impulse house purchase

Our renters in V4 have kind of been a pain complaining about everything. They are so young and really strange. I knew there was no way I could make them happy. I had the plumber go out and he called me and told me the renters were weird and weren't happy with him because he couldn't find anything wrong with the plumbing. I finally told them I would be happy to let them out of their lease if they wanted to move somewhere else. They decided to move to base housing. I told Don, I'd sell that place if I had something else to buy. 

Enter Tallahassee. Steph said buy the lot next door. The lot next door was already sold so I bought the lot across the street. The house was already staked out and while I was there they poured the foundation.

We've never built a new house. Well Don did when he was in college but I've never built a new house. I went and picked out all the colors.   

 

Vally is five!

Fanny got the girls a pedi/mani kit and they have opened shop.

Vally has been so excited and counting down the days until her birthday. I'm glad I was here for it.

Vally got both grandma's for her birthday. Fanny got her first Covid shot the day after she arrived and after a follow up Covid vaccine she was released of her mask and allowed to hold the baby.

AJ and Steph now have their anniversary and all three kids birthdays in April. Crazy busy month for them.

 

Khloe out of quarantine

Joyous day when Khloe was able to hold the baby.

She loves to read to him. Loves, loves, loves to.

While we were all hanging out in rainy but relatively warm Florida Don and Sean skied at Brighton on their last ski day of the season.

 

Connor's home

Finally 8 days after his birth Connor got sprung from the hospital. They decided on the final day that he had a murmur so they had to wait for an echo. 

Vally was so happy. Poor Khloe got sick the day before Connor came home so she was quarantined in her room. It was really heartbreaking for her. She was so excited and so wanted to hold him but had to maintain her distance. Vally was pretty please with being the first sister to hold him. I'm guessing it was a good experience for the now middle child.

Khloe says that Connor is the cutest baby in the world even cuter than they were. I don't know if he's cuter than they were but he is so dang cute and the sweetest little guy ever.
