No Manatee to be found

We went Kayaking on Wakula river again in hopes of seeing manatee. The guide said there were 8 hanging out yesterday but we didn't see a one. We saw lots of alligators, birds and turtles.

It was cold (in the 50's) and windy. Not the best day for kayaking but once the sun came out it was a really pleasant day. The wind was at our back and we were going down stream and the tide was going out so there wasn't much paddling involved other than what was required to back yourself up and out of the river bank you floated into.
