The long process

The house is almost back in order. I had the disaster people come clean the carpet yesterday. All the carpet problems are a direct result of the repairs. The carpet still looks crappy. After the baseboards are replaced I'll have another carpet cleaning company come out and see if it looks better.

Vally helping rearrange all the cans being stored in the living room. She was sick (but not very)so we had a fun day playing. I was wishing she was there the next day when I put them all back. 

Doors are up.

Entry way is done.Baseboards to be determined. The baseboard on the stairs sill looks ok

Dining room is still not all together.We don't want to put the hutch back up until the baseboard is replaced. It is heavy!

New fridge and stove are in the kitchen.

They delivered the first fridge that stuck out three inches too far so they had to deliver a different one. We now have an ice maker again. It was the ice maker that caused all this ruckus in the first place. But I do love my new floor that the insurance company paid for. It was definitely worth all the bother. The old floor was so gross and every time I mopped it I thought about how ugly it was.

Washer and dryer are back in place. We paid to have the floor placed in the laundry, and bathroom as they had vinyl. We also paid for the entry was as it was not attached to the kitchen. The bathroom is still not back together. It's painted and Don is working on getting the toilet back in. We got a new vanity and are getting a new mirror. Yesterday Khloe said, "Grandma it's like you are getting a new house."
