It's been an awful week at SGI. On a positive side for SGI the hurricane hit Texas and Louisiana and not Florida. On Tuesday Beth (the turtle lady) husband Brian drowned trying to rescue two people at the beach. I'm just so heartbroken for Beth. When I was following the emergency and saw that a first responder had died I thought surely it can't be Brian. He's the only first responder I know on the Island. Beth was the very first person we met at 300 Ocean Mile and she's been such a good friend.
Last night there was a fire on the island and two people died, the old principal of the school and her brother. 2020 has been such a year of tragedies.
