Day Three

Puerto Vallarta Our first stop was Puerto Vallarta. The weather was gorgeous. We took a 90 minute taxi ride to the botanical gardens. On the way up the mountain I asked the driver if most people in Puerto Vallarta were poor or middle class. He said they were middle class and pointed to the buildings and told me how all these people were successful business people who owned their building and lived above them. It was sad. Most of the buildings had tarps for roofs. Certainly a different view of middle class than the U.S.

First Sean wanted his shoes off, then his pants, then his shirt, next thing you know the baby was naked in the river. The only thing that remained were his sunglasses. When you're cool you're cool!

We went to a restaurant at the gardens. It was an awesome restaurant with a great view. When we walked in I thought “how authentic” then I remembered I was in Mexico. Duh!
We got Sean a little guitar. He was standing in front of the boat with no pants (they got wet in the river) strumming his guitar. If he had a cup people would have thrown pesos in it. (He has a crayon box at home that he calls his "guitar case". When we got home I found all his crayons and color books in the trash and he was trying to fit his guitar in the case to be like David.)

Puerto Vallarta Walmart. If it hadn't been for the fact that the prices were in pesos I could has sworn we were in West Valley.

You can't have cruise pictues without the standard towel animal snap shots! Sean actually was more interested in the chocolate on the pillows next to the towel animals. And of course removing their eyes.
