Night One, Day Two

Wednesday night was a tough night. Sean got breathing treatments every two hours, He had two coughing fits that lasted over an hour each. He was miserable.
I found a couple of pictures I took before we went to the hospital. He was miserable at home too, but he was miserable in his own bed.

Alika came and watched him Wed morning before I took him to the doctor.

One of the few times he actually slept.

He ate a couple of strawberries, three chicken nuggets, drank two Sprites today and that was about it. He liked the little man that came on his breakfast tray.

We were well wired. Sean had his DS, his tablet and my lap top.

A selfie with mom.

Don came over at lunch time because his work is right next to the hospital. He brought Phoebe up after school. His teacher Mrs. Mullins called to see how he was. My phone gets terrible reception in the hospital. He has missed so much school. Jacob left a present for Sean on the porch and Don brought it up. It was a Mario blanket and Sean really liked it. Now he has two Mario throws and they are both really soft.

He played with some Lego's from the play room. He didn't really enjoy it because it was mostly big pieces and not much opportunity for logic or creativity.

Alika came and read library books to him. She also helped him with his homework. She gave him some presents. Sean had asked if people were going to bring him presents. He remembers that from previous hospitalizations.

Phoebe brought him a Luigi hat and mustache.

Don brought him a mine craft head.

Phoebe came up after school. We ordered pizza and had a nice visit. Sean didn't eat but enjoyed having everyone there to play with him.

After Don and Phoebe left Sean was taking a prednisone pill and it dissolved in his mouth. He had a total melt down. I had to ask the nurse to leave for fifteen minutes so we could pull it together. He was just so tired. He went to sleep right after Alika left. Mom's been home with just Teresa in the house. I arranged for the home care agency to come in every morning while I am gone to fix her breakfast and lunch. Carter is taking her dinner. I had started a crock pot of black beans before we left for the hospital. I put the half cooked beans in the refrigerator. Will see if they are still edible. I feel bad for Phoebe Sean has been sick the entire time she has been here.
