Sean likes to say CHEESE!!!!!!!!!
Sean spent a couple of hours at his parents house yesterday. I think he had a good time. As I was sitting in his parents apartment I couldn't help but think how different Sean's life is with us and Ryder's life is with the Jensen's then Kylie and Brie's life is. It is amazing what smart, adaptive little girls Kylie and Brie are.
I was watching Sean eat his beets, spinach, mac and cheese and spam (Yep, we love spam) and I thought about all the things he has at our house: fruit, vegetables, a bed time, a nap time, a bed, sheets, towels, garbage bags, clean laundry, diaper wipes, socks, Johnson baby soap, sippy cups, clean bottles, clean room, toys that aren't broken, a yard, a ton of attention from four adults....... He is a pretty indulged kid. He has two such different lives. Yet, he adapts. He loves to play with his sisters. He doesn't cry when I drop him off. When he was a baby and I would take him home sometimes he would cry and it would break my heart.
If Sean wasn't with us he wouldn't have his favorite restaurant "The Oaks" in Huntsville or his boat to drive. (he likes the Oaks because we eat outside and he can be loud and messy) I am just so happy that Ryder has his family and Sean has ours. AJ and I were sitting outside playing with Sean last week and AJ said "It's so weird how this little baby came to be in our family." I have to agree it really is a peculiar series of events that brought him into our lives.

AJ signed up for two summer classes at Weber beginning on the 29th. He is taking Psych and Nutrition. He is hoping to meet some cute girls.
Alika is being a pill. We have our fingers crossed that she doesn't get kicked out of beauty school with only three weeks to go. She is currently suspended, AGAIN! It would be very frustrating if she didn't finish after all the time she has spent and all the money we have spent.

You remind me so much of my mom, Helen. It must run in the Tribett family to take care of your own plus half the neighborhood. It's great to see pictures of Sean. He's just as darling as ever. Elisabeth and I enjoyed visiting with you and your mom last summer. Take Care.
I love the pictures you sent with you waxing philosophical. You are so right that Sean is a lucky kid to have the advantages that your family can give him. It will be really sad it that ever ends for some reason. I feel sad for October and Ashtin because their mom moved them to California and the don't get to see Shane anymore. But, actually, they are doing okay. October says she has been accepted to start at the San Diego Performing Arts School in the fall. I don't know what her performance area is, but her academic grades are super. I may have told you that she entered an essay contest sponsored by the San Diego Zoo and won a monetary prize plus a week's camping experience working with the animals in the zoo. She is delighted. Dava, Alexis and Sydney are flying to California in late July to see Alexis' aunt and October and Ashtin.
We are about to have a serious storm. We had one yesterday morning that did a lot of wind damage and flooded a lot of places. The ceiling on my sun porch collapsed from the weight of the water, I think. It hailed enough to flatten everything in my beautiful garden but the sun shone enough today that the lettuce and swiiss chard perked up. I read an article about the ntritional value of purslane, a suculant weed with Omega-3 and lots of vitamins it in. That is good news because that is a really profific weed and now I know I will never starve. I can survive on weeds and berries :o)
Addie and her friend came yesterday and will stay until next Thursday. They are both eleven years old and about to become real teenagers so I want to enjoy them before they get to that stage. We planned to go horseback riding today but the heat and the flooding caused the trailride to be cancelled. It is raining really hard again now and predicted for tomorrow, too, so we will have to find something else to do. Bowling is always fun. My screen-saver pops up with pictures of you-all bowling almost everyday. That is fun. It is like visiting with you.
Darci gets the results of her latest CT scan on Monday. Hopefully, everything is okay. She doesn't have any overt signs that are worrying her, but melanoma can be darn sneaky.
