Summer has arrived!

It's been a cold, snowy winter and a cold wet spring but summer is here! There is lots of water at the lake. So much water in fact that the houses on the way to the lake are sand bagged.

We know summer is here because we went to the lake and went swimming. The pool was warm but the air was cool. It was comfortable.

Aric and Steph hit the hot tub.

The first boat launch of the summer. The water wasn't quite as high at the lake as I expected. They've released lots of water from the reservoir so that more run in can fill the lake. I was nervous about Sean and all the water. We just kept the life jacket on him and our eyes on him at all times. He does not like the wind in his face when the boat goes fast. That started last year. We are going to have to get him a helmet with a face mask to keep the wind out of his face.

Steph's first ride in our boat.

Look at all that snow in the mountains still waiting to melt into the lake! The great salt lake has risen five feet this year.

We went to the Oaks for lunch. There was so much water in the river that instead of eating next to the river we were eating over the river. We wouldn't let Sean sit in the bench next to the river he had to sit between me and Don. There were some kids at the next table hanging over the railing. Sean kept asking "why are those kids doing that?" I finally told him "because their parent's don't love them as much as we love you!" Sean asked me yesterday what "orderly" means. He said "teacher says line up in a orderly fashion."

Playing cell phone games.

I bought a butterfly garden. It's been fun. I was going to take it to Sean's school but we were having too much fun with it at home. Today Alika and Sean took the cocoons out of the cup and put them in the net. They grew fast!

Sean all the sudden screams whenever he sees a spider. Kylie and Brie were here on Thursday and they were so silly about bugs and now Sean is too. Jenny had her first over night with the girls on Thursday and they all came over for dinner and to play.
