Easter weekend

Sean and Ethan are just so darn cute. The other day they were Woody and Buzz for awhile, riding bikes and running around the yards. They are always making me laugh.

When Alan (the social worker) did the second visit of the home study one of the questions he asked was "how do you teach your children about work?" I thought that was such a dumb question. The same way everyone else does. When we do chores Sean helps. He helps unload the dishwasher, he turns on the washer, when Don does yard work Sean helps. That's how all the kids have learned. I thought about that question later and decided maybe it wasn't so dumb. Depending on what your parents do maybe you don't learn those things. A child might learn when the welfare checks come or how to use food stamps.

Don trimmed his trees while Sean trimmed the vines. His trees are all doing well but they sure aren't growing as fast as we'd hoped. We can still see MacDonald's;(

On Easter we had a hunt with Sean and Taya (Bradly's daughter). Bradly got custody of Taya this week. DCFS took her from her mother and he went to Vernal and picked her up. They had a hearing today and he was granted temporary custody. His ex had a drug addiction (meth) and DCFS has been working with her for a year. It was sad on Tuesday night she came over because Bradly said she was sad. She was out jumping on the trampoline with Sean and Ethan saying how much she missed her mommy. It made Bradly really sad. He's working hard to be a good dad. He's always been a good dad but he's working hard to be a good single parent. He's come over to borrow a humidifier, Tylenol etc. It's cute how differently Sean plays with Taya then Ethan. He and Ethan argue like little old men in a nursing home and with Taya he gives her whatever she wants no questions asked. Sean and Ethan will argue over the color of the sky.

Alika hid all the eggs. Once again one of the eggs got full of ants in just the short time they were hidden. I always tell the kids that's the bonus egg. Alika got a new job this week. She's working in a call center helping people who need help with their credit. She's working 2 to 10 Monday through Friday.

Steph wanted to plant her spring flowers before her mom and cousin left so they all took to digging and got it done in a day.

They made a cute little side yard. (now the neighbor needs to fix his fence that blew over in the wind storm). Steph's family went back to Costa Rica on Tuesday.
