Iguazu Falls-Brazil side

This is the group we traveled with. Elaine and Janet who have been friends since 10th grade and two couples, both on their honeymoon.

A panoramic of the falls with my cell phone. The falls are now listed as one of the natural wonders of the world.

Looking down. There was an elevator that you could take from the bottom of the falls to the top. We took the stairs. The line for the elevator was long. The Iguazu Falls stretch in width for 1.7 miles. Their height varies between 200 feet and 269 feet. This makes the Iguazu Falls taller than Niagara Falls and twice as wide. I guess we need to go to Niagara Falls now.

We went on a ride under the waterfalls. To get to the bottom of the river we road an electric train through the forest then we road in a Jeep down a steep road. After all that we went down some really steep stairs to a launching station. It was pouring rain. Our tour guide was OCD and worried constantly. She kept telling us we were going to get wet. She probably said it 20 times. We were all laughing. It was raining like crazy and we were going under a water fall. Really, do you think we are going to get wet. As we were pulling away in the train she was still giving us instructions. I said "mom, we are grown ups. We will be fine." Funny lady.

On the boat. It was a wild ride. Sean loved it and declared it the "best day ever." I was worried he might be scared because he doesn't like to go fast on the boat at the lake but he loved every minute of it. This was another moment in my life when I wondered why people go to Disney World when there are so many natural wonders in the world.

We got wet. Who knew?

We wore these rain coats. They were more like garbage sacks and they didn't do much other than stick to our skin.

At the very end of the falls. The water was spraying. It was intense.
Sean being silly.

We bought the pictures that the photographer took of our boat ride. There were a bunch of stock photos of the falls on the disc with our personal pictures.
