Obelisco de Buenos Aires

The Obelisco de Buenos Aires is a historic monument located in the Plaza. It really is the hub of the city. There are parades, concerts and all sorts of activity going on all around it. I kept thinking Alika would love the city. There are chalked bodies in front of the Obelisco representing people who were murdered by the Government. There are women that march around the plaza in memory. Every Thursday for 35 years the mother's have marched. Most of them are too old to march now but some still do. They call the missing the disappeared. They believe 30.000 people were kidnapped and murdered in the 70's and 80's.

Sean went to a Lego display a couple of weeks ago and he was convinced that he was at the Washington monument and we could not convince him otherwise.
