Leaning Tower of Pisa

I didn't even know I wanted to see the leaning tower of Pisa until I found out it was one of our stops. The driver was funny he told us how the leaning tower is a mistake and if it wasn't for a mistake no one would even know the town of Pisa exist. Apparently people from Florence consider themselves far superior to the people of Pisa. It was only about a 45 minute drive from the port to the tower.

We climbed all the way to the top. The kids did it no problem I was out of breath and had to stop. It was a spectacular view from the top.

At the top of the tower.

There's a glass floor at the top that you can look all the way down to the bottom. The stairs are so worn they tilt as well. 644 years of people walking up and down those marble stairs is a lot of steps.

Taking a rest after we got back down.

There were lots of other statues and buildings on the plaza as well.
