Gold Bluffs Beach

The campground at Gold Bluffs Beach was within walking distance of the beach. You had to walk down a bunch of steps and then go down a little cliff or a rope ladder. None of that bothered the kids one bit. Kylie and Brie had never been to the ocean before. They were really confused by the concept of the "beach." They've been to Lake Powell and the Pineview which have beaches. They were impressed when they saw the ocean. Brie was pretty hesitant, worried she would be attacked by a shark. I told her sharks didn't come up in the shallow surf. (Good thing she didn't see the shark attacks that happened in NC this week she would know that they can swim in shallow surf.)

The water was really cold and rough so they didn't go past their ankles. Even that shallow Kylie got caught up in a wave and knocked down.

Very happy kids.

There are no shells on the beach.

I love the look on Brie's face.
